    A native of rural Saskatchewan, Patrick started his career farming alongside his father.  After completing his MBA at the University of Calgary, Patrick worked for CIBC World Markets and GMP Securities LP advising on over $3 billion worth of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions.

    Sensing small to medium size business owners were not receiving quality advice when selling their business, Patrick founded Redcap&Truss in the spring of 2014.

    Chris Beaton has spent over 20 years advising clients on corporate strategy, capital raising and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to founding Redcap&Truss, Chris worked in the strategy group of Deloitte Consulting and spent seven years at CIBC World Markets where his last assignment was leading the Investment Banking coverage of the oil field services sector.

    Chris’ time with CIBC was highlighted by raising over $3 billion in debt and equity offerings while advising on some of the largest mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions in the Canadian Energy Sector. Chris holds an MBA (with Distinction) from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, is a former Board Member of the Southwest Hockey Association and volunteers as a certified service puppy trainer through the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (PADS).

    Darren is a solutions-focused Senior Executive, Connector, Advisor, Business Strategist, and Thought Leader with more than 28 years of success across management consulting, circular economy, product development, specialty polymers, energy, and environmental process industries.

    Darren has extensive experience helping business owners navigate a buy or sales process and he is known for his ability to simplify complicated business issues and communicating them in terms that make sense.

    Prior to his role at Redcap&Truss, Darren held a strategic role with Ambipar Response (Environmental) as VP Strategy and Corporate Development where he worked with business owners to be acquisition ready by aligning goals, financial modelling, developing leadership, and mentoring executives.

    Darren holds a Business and Engineering Degree from NSW Technical University and has worked for global leading companies in Germany, Sweden, Australia, and Canada. Darren splits his time between Kelowna, British Columbia and Calgary, Alberta Canada.
